Cries of a BIG Girl

Lauri G, a native Detroiter, is a classically trained vocalist. She began performing in her youth in and around the Detroit area with various choirs, ensembles, and R&B groups, quickly nurturing and honing her performance skills and stage presence. She has opened for various artists such as Atlantic Starr and Yolanda Adams. Lauri G and her band, G Major, have performed at several Detroit festivals and venues including Ribs and Soul, Arts, Beats, and Eats, Sheometry, and Aretha's Jazz Cafe, and also in Dallas at the popular Buttons Lounge and in the eclectic Deep Ellum district. Lauri G was recently cast in TJ Hemphill’s world-renowned Gospel play, “Perilous Times” in Detroit at the historical Fisher Theatre. Lauri G has released music in the Gospel and R&B genres. Her new album “Cries of a Big Girl” features Funky Soul and vibey R&B joints and is available on all streaming platforms.
